The Elephant and the Mole

One day a mole was digging his hole in Safari Sam jungle and unfortunately Mrs Ella Elephant was near by and was going to take a bath but first she was going to try out the lagoon moon jump. Some say when Elephants do it the water touches the moon. So Ella got on her swim suit and SPLASH! , Ella was in but her splash wasn’t, her splash was so big all the water was gone. Ella got out and in front of her was a big hole in the ground. She stepped in and before she knew it she was trapped and it was all her fault. Then mole came back to fill his hole with water but Ella was in there in his hole. Now mole was very surprised to see such an enormous thing in his hole so mole said, “Hey get out of my hole I’m washing my clothes and I find you have probably broken all my toys.” But Ella Elephant started to cry and said, “I want to get out right now.” So mole said, “Yes” and he went to get help. He came back and they pulled and they tugged and then with a plop she was out and everyone went home. Ella was pleased and gave mole a hug and then was on her way humming to herself and always watching where she was going.

WATER SAFETY

AT THE MOMENT WE HAVE BEEN LEARNING ABOUT WATER SAFETY. WE MADE WATER COLLAGES OUT OF PICTURES FROM MAGAZINES AND STUCK THEM ON WITH GLUE.

WE ARE PAINTING PICTURES OF WATER AND PEOPLE PLAYING IN IT AS WELL.
WE ALSO WROTE SOME RULES ABOUT WATER SAFTEY.
SOME OF THE RULES ARE TO SEE HOW DEEP THE WATER IS BEFORE YOUJUMP IN, ANOTHER ONE IS TO KEEP DOG BOWLS AND BUCKETS OF WATER AWAY FROM BABIES BECAUSE THEY CAN DROWN IN IT.

Egyptian Work!

Last term we were learning about Egyptians and their lives.

Everyone in our class enjoyed doing the paintings because they were interesting to paint.
Our main project on the Egyptians was the famous king Tutankhamen. We painted pictures of his mummy face mask, it is the most famous mask in the world.

Our class also enjoyed sculpting the Sphynx and mummies. We had to wrap cotton around them to give a good effect, cases were also made for them.

When we had spare time we made pyramids out of lego, jovo and paper pyramids were also made. the hardest thing that we made were the Egyptians house and farmers life stripe.

This week we are making mummies out of clay, fabric and cardboard. Michael learnt how to play a game called senet that is very common in Egypt. Jessica learnt that the poor people just got buried in the sand but the rich got mummified.
